# Dive into the changes of HubSpot 2024 pricing updates

As a familiar friend in the realm of business solutions, HubSpot has been on an impressive journey since its founding in 2006. From its early days, it has grown into a powerhouse for customer relationship management (CRM) and inbound marketing. Known for its user-friendly interface, HubSpot seamlessly integrates marketing, sales, and customer service tools, catering to businesses of all sizes. Through continuous innovation, HubSpot has become a go-to platform, guiding businesses on their path to sustainable growth.
Based on this evolution, HubSpot is launching a new pricing model on March 5th, with a key emphasis on "pay as you grow" to simplify their purchasing system. Are you eager to learn more and how your company is impacted? I got your back! Keep reading...

## What is new?
Effective March 5th, 2024, HubSpot is launching their new seat based pricing model valid for all Hubs and subscription levels - Starter, Professional and Enterprise for new customers. Hence, the previous minimum level of Sales and Starter Hub paid seats will be removed and replaced by this new seat based solution.
This update results in the following main changes:
1. Removing previous minimum level of Sales and Starter Hub paid seats
2. Introducing two new seat types:
- **View Only Seats** - Read-only permissions for non-edit users
- **Core Seats** - Edit permissions using all functionalities
3. A maximum of five users with edit permissions will be included in HubSpot Free Tools
4. Applying a per-user pricing model and a single Core Seat type for Starter purchases
## **Explore the Seat Types more deeply!**
Now we will dig deeper into the different Seat Types. The following Seat types will be available according to the new pricing model:
- **View-Only Seat** - Read-only permission enabling unlimited amount of users in paid portals to have visibility into the CRM. Perfect for managers to access dashboards and reports!
- **Core Seat** - Edit access to all features included in the CRM, replacing the old "free unlimited users"
- **Sales and Service Hub Seat** - These seats grant access to additional features in the subscription chosen. Providing all functionality of a core seat but with additional features valuable for sales and service reps. Now with a pay per-user approach meaning the minimum level for these seats is removed.
- **Partner Seat** - As a result of this change, you will not need to buy a seat for your partner in your HubSpot portal. HubSpot has designed a Partner Seat giving the partner access to all features in your portal, at no additional cost.
## **A pay per-user approach - why?**
Implementing these changes, HubSpot aims to improve in flexibility in seat solutions combined with giving their customers more control of portal costs.
With five users included in the Free Tools it will be easier for business to grow with their platform lowering the barrier to enter. **Start for free and scale!** Unlimited View-Only users in combination with no minimums of Sales and Service Hub paid seats also enables HubSpot customers to **pay as their grow.**
## Will you be impacted?
This update will launch 5th of March, 2024, only valid for NEW customers purchasing after this date. Existing customers will not be affected and stay with current solution.
